Description

A check valve is a passive valve that allows fluid to flow in only one direction. It automatically opens to allow fluid flow in the forward direction and closes to prevent backflow when the forward flow stops or reverses. We offer a comprehensive range of check valves, including flanged, swing, piston, and axial disc designs. These valves are available in both cast steel and cast iron, providing flexibility to meet diverse process requirements.

Key Applications:

Industrial Applications:

·        Pump Protection: Prevents water hammer and protects pumps from damage by preventing reverse flow

·        Piping Systems: Maintains system integrity and prevents contamination by isolating sections of the system

·        Fire Protection Systems: Ensures water flows in the correct direction to extinguish fires

HVAC Systems: Prevents reverse flow in heating and cooling systems

Specific Industry Applications:

  • Oil and Gas: Prevents backflow in pipelines, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Chemical Processing: Protects equipment from damage and contamination by preventing reverse flow of hazardous chemicals.
  • Water Treatment: Controls the flow of water and chemicals in treatment plants.
  • Power Generation: Regulates the flow of fluids in power plants, such as steam and water.
  • Automotive and Aerospace: Controls the flow of fluids in various systems, such as fuel systems and hydraulic systems.

Specific feature (N260):

Design:

Body:

  • Material: Chosen based on the fluid properties, pressure, and temperature. Common materials include cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel, and bronze.
  • Design: The body must be strong enough to withstand the operating pressures and provide a secure mounting for other components

Disc:

  • Material: Selected based on the fluid properties and the required sealing performance. Common materials include stainless steel, rubber, and plastic.
  • Design: The disc shape and weight are crucial for proper opening and closing. The disc must be designed to provide a tight seal against the seat to prevent backflow.

Spring:

  • Material: The spring material must be compatible with the fluid and temperature conditions.
  • Design: The spring force must be sufficient to keep the disc closed against the pressure differential, but not so strong as to hinder the disc’s movement.

Seat:

  • Material: The seat material must be compatible with the fluid and resistant to wear.
  • Design: The seat must provide a tight seal with the disc to prevent leakage.
